Bandung:ย Telkom University, together with the Indonesian House of Representatives Expertise Board, carried out a collaboration related to Data Analytics and Machine Learning marked by the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Monday (22/11) which was held in Gd. Damar Telkom University. This collaboration aims to assist the government in making public policies based on in-depth data and research.
Rector of Telkom University, Prof. Dr. Adiwijaya, welcomes this collaboration. Currently, various decision-making needs to be based on data to be right on target and benefit the wider audience.
โData management and analytics today are no longer an option but a necessity in this day and age. It will certainly affect the making of law policies that concern the needs of the people. Regarding the development of data analytics, it is a challenge for us. Currently, we (Tel-U) have also implemented โone data,โ which affects campus decision-making. We are ready to support and make this good intention a success in the future.โ said the rector.
The Head of the Indonesian House of Representatives Expertise Board, Dr. Inosentius Samsul, also conveyed what was said by the Chancellor, that policies need to be based on research and data.
โA quality public policy must be based on research and data. One of the elements of this current parliament is information technology. In order to facilitate our transformation in that direction, development in the IT field is needed. Tel-U is our main reference for creating a modern parliament in studying big data and machine learning.โ Samuel.
In addition to the MoU in this activity, there was also a material presentation from the lecturer of the Faculty of Business Economics (FEB), Dr. Andry Alamsyah, and the team related to Big Data and Machine Learning. It was also a provision for the IT team of the Indonesian House of Representatives Expertise Board, who was also present at the meeting that day.
