BANDUNG, TEL-U – Telkom University (Tel-U) admitted to establish cooperation with the Islamic Batik University (UNIBA) Surakarta. This cooperation related to human resource development, Textile Craft Studies Program Development, and the Program based on ICT (Information Communication Technology).
This cooperation initiated with the signing of MoU between both sides. Tel-U Rector, Prof. Ir Mochamad Ashari, M. Eng, Ph.D and UNIBA Rector Prof. Dr. Ir Endang Siti Rahayu, MS signed the agreement in UNIBA, Thursday (15/10).
According to Dean Faculty of Creative Industries, Dr. Ir Agus Achmad Suhendra M, under the agreement Tel-U was asked to become a trustee in the opening of Textile and Fashion Craft (KTM) study program and ICT-based study program which is opened in UNIBA soon.
“We also asked to foster the development of human resources UNIBA lecturers and other cooperation in the form of joint seminars (joint seminars and workshops), particularly in the field of industrial development of batik in Solo,” Agus said when contacted by mobile phone.
After the signing ceremony, the Rector of Tel-U also provides material at a public lecture entitled “Challenges Graduates College in the Era of Information Technology” for students of Management and Public Relations UNIBA Surakarta. (purel / raf)
