BANDUNG, TEL-U – Engineers in Indonesia, especially from Tel-U, is expected to fully contribute to national development. It was conveyed by Ir Istanto Oerip, The Top Professional Engineers of Indonesian Engineers Association (PII) at the Engineer Professional Development Program Workshop (PPPII) in Deli Building Telkom University (Tel-U), on Thursday (31/3).
Istanto also reminded Tel-U engineer to hold the PII code of conduct such as PII members must form a personal ethical, creating an ethical professional engineer, establish an ethical company, creating an ethical PII and spreading ethical PIIโs ethics
“An engineer is also required in order to work with competence and stated an accounted statement as well as develop their professional ability,” said Istanto.
The event was attended by engineers from School of Electrical Engineering (FTE) and School of Informatics (FIF). It was the beginning of the certification process that will be undertaken by the participants. Instanto also confirmed that this certification has been recognized by 10 countries in ASEAN.
In the opening, Tel-U rector, Prof Ir Mochamad Ashari, MEng, PhD expected that this certification program will facilitate Tel-U future with either an expertise or professionalism certification.
“By attending this workshop the participants are expected to complete the professional engineer application form in order to acquire Intermediate Professional Engineer or Top Professional Engineer,” he said. (Purel / AW)
