“We want Tel-U to be able to carry out the country’s tasks in a planned manner, to educate the nation’s generation. Building this nation requires commitment. The OBE curriculum is designed so that our education system achieves the expected competencies. Before the system is formed, we must first understand what OBE is. When the system is ready, we can already implement it.” Adiwijaya said.

All Heads of Study Programs attended the OBE implementation workshop from 7 Faculties at Telkom University. In this workshop, there are pre-tests and Post-Test at the beginning and end of the event to find out the knowledge the Head of Study Programs absorbed before and after receiving material related to the Basic Concepts of OBE and OBE Implementation in Tel-U.

Opening this event, the Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs, Dr. Dadan Rahadian, said that so that Tel-U can provide service excellence for stakeholders, especially students, the implementation of OBE is considered a step in providing the best service in teaching activities.

“Through this OBE workshop is to provide equal awareness and understanding for fellow teachers. Implementing OBE is expected to provide certainty of economic outcomes for students as stakeholders. We need to provide the best service, one of which is being able to deliver material with the appropriate competence. Hopefully, what you get from this workshop can be useful.” Said Dadan.

For information, Outcome-Based Education (OBE) is education centered on outcomes, not just material that must be completed. OBE measures learning outcomes (Outcomes) and enables students to develop new skills that prepare them at a global level.
