Telkom University (Tel-U) students successfully secured second place in the International Marketing Plan Creativepreneur Festival 2023 competition on Friday (13/1). The Tel-U students consisted of three students, including Kris Mathilda (Bachelor of Business Administration), Ikshan Guritno (Bachelor of Business Administration), Regina Xyla M (Bachelor of Information Systems). The competition, held by the Management Study program of the Faculty of Economics and Business, Muhammadiyah University of Yogyakarta (UMY), is aimed at active national and international students. This competition is in the form of pouring creative ideas that are original, visionary, and implementable.
The online competition was attended by participants from various countries. Kris and her team participated in this competition because they share the same background and passion in business and marketing, Kris herself has a desire to pursue a career in marketing in the future and participating in this competition had helped her in honing her critical thinking and skills in marketing strategies.
“My team and I have a background and passion in business and marketing. Personally, I want to pursue a career in marketing in the future, so I believe that participating in this marketing plan competition will be very beneficial in developing critical thinking and skills in conducting marketing strategies,” said Kris.
Kris and the team hoped that winning this competition would not diminish their enthusiasm, as they consider this experience to be a steppingstone for future competitions as well as an experience to improve their analytical and marketing skills.
“In the future, we hope that this experience can be a steppingstone for us to take part in the next marketing competition, because we feel that there is a very significant increase in analysis and marketing skills while working on the project for this competition,” she explained.
