BANDUNG, TEL-U – Again, Telkom University (Tel-U) students got achievement in sport. Taekwondo team (Tel-U) titled as Champion at Sendy Depok Open 2016 in Cibubur, on Sunday (24/1).
Total athletes who compete were 31 athletes which was a combination between of Tel-U athletes and Metro athletes. Of the 31 athletes, Telkom University Taekwondo team won 21 medals which was a combination of Kyorugi and Poomsae categories. There were 7 golds, 6 silvers and 8 bronzes medals.
The gold medal were belong to Eka Fuji Astuti (MBTI-2015) from the Kyorugi category and Rian Ari Wibowo (MBTI-2014) of the Individual Poomsae category. Silver medals received by Denny Bayu Listiawan of Kyorugi Category and Chaeranurullis Fajrin (Business Administration-2014) from the Poomsae Category. And bronze medals titled to Kusdiyanti Rahayu, Rev. Mukhlisin (D3 Telekomunikas-2015), Dawn Alfarisi (Informatics 2013), and Ghazy Dzakirah (Interior Design-2015) from the Kyorugi category.
Telkom University Taekwondo team official, Dian Lestari Vita hoped that Telkom University Taekwondo team can be more solid in the future. “Hopefully the athletes who join the championship is getting more and also become the champion that could make name of Telkom University,” she said. (Purel / EAD)
