Telkom University students won achievements in the Scientific Writing Competition (LKTI) held by PT Pertamina RU VI Balongan on Tuesday (16/2). This competition is organized in welcoming the National K3 Day or Occupational Safety and Health Day proclaimed by the Minister of Manpower Ida Fauziyah which starts to be held simultaneously every January 12.
This activity becomes a forum for college students in West Java, Jakarta, and Banten to express their ideas and ideas in the form of scientific papers with the theme “Increasing the Role of Millennials in Optimizing Resources in the Covid-19 Pandemic Period”.
Amri Khurniawan and Sri Dewi Sartika Syarifuddin who are Telkom University S1 Telecommunication Engineering students, Faculty of Electrical Engineering Tel-U won 2nd place in the grand final announcement which was held online by PT Pertamina RU VI Balongan. They are joined in a team called Health Team.
The Health Team managed to become a champion because of its interesting scientific work and its implementation for the community that had a positive impact. They created a work called Telehealth 4.0 which is an integration of artificial intelligence technology to measure the vital parameters of human health to increase the role of health service facilities.
Various research efforts were carried out to support the success of Telehealth 4.0 so that it has maximum accuracy. “The preparations carried out include literature studies and deepening of the problem, collaborating with the hospital to obtain data. Bhayangkara, and get a machine learning programming algorithm model. ” Said Amri in an online interview.
Amri and Sri managed to compete with competitors from 23 universities in West Java, Jakarta, and Banten. In the Grand Final, 7 finalists were selected consisting of Telkom University, University of Indonesia, Bandung Institute of Technology, Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa University, Padjadjaran University, and the Indonesian Education University. According to him, the fiercest competitor is Padjajaran University.
Telkom University continues to support activities, such as conducting scientific discussions, mentoring, and funding during competitions.
