Bandung, Telkom University – Learning by traveling is one of the dreams for many young and productive generations in Indonesia. Moreover, this dream can also be free of charge through a scholarship program. European countries have become one of the educational and travel destinations for students. It also goes without saying that aside from offering you a good quality education, European countries also offer you tons of breathtaking views that are a feast for the eye and endless historical stories behind them.
Winta Pingkan, one of the alumni from School of Industrial Engineering in Telkom University batch 2013 who has successfully made her dream come true. Known by the nickname Winta, she was admitted as a student of Master of Consumer Studies in Wageningen University & Research through Endowment Fund for Education Indonesia Scholarship (LPDP) in 2022. However, her achievement was not easily attained. Winta gained her valuable experiences through joining organizations and working in reputable companies such as Pertamina, as well as E-Commerce such as Traveloka and Tokopedia.
Before achieving success in her career, Winta completed her bachelor’s degree in Tel-U Industrial Engineering on time and gained sufficient experience in organizations. She used to be an Indonesia Secretary for the Marketing Association Subchapter of Telkom University, followed by a position as a Lab Assistance for Industrial Statistics and Operational Research, and then as a Probability and Statistics Private Tutor. Her skill in managing Microsoft Office, UX Research, Planning and Management, SWOT Analysis, SPSS, Competitive Analysis, and to Usability Testing had made Winta to capable of receiving Letter of Acceptance (LoA) from several universities in various countries, such as Wageningen University, Griffith University, University of Lancaster, and many more.
This woman from Bandung, Indonesia, had received numerous awards, such as the Winner of the 9th IMOTion (Indonesia Marketing Competition) UI, Telkom University Outstanding Student, Top 20 Finalists of the 8th Engineering Festival and Competition (EFiCn), Top 25 Finalists Espriex Lean Model Competition ASEAN, and the Winner of Tokopedia DNA Awards. The awards she has achieved are a result of her endless hard work and unwavering willingness to learn, which is evident through her participation in various trainings, workshops, forums, and her active role as a speaker in webinars.
