Telkom University Assigned as the Location of the Bandung Regency Vaccine Center

BANDUNG, Telkom University – Successfully organized a vaccination program for students and academics at Telkom University (Tel-U). This time, Tel-U is trusted by the Bandung Regency government to be the location of the vaccine center for the Bandung Regency area.

The implementation of this vaccination has been taking place for the last 2 weeks, start from July 31, 2021, to August 15, 2021, for the first dose of vaccine.

On Saturday, August 14, 2021, the Regent of Bandung Regency Dadang Supriatna visited the location of the vaccine, during which Dadang said that up to now there have been 68,000 people who have undergone vaccination.

“This number shows that the enthusiasm of the people of Bandung Regency for vaccines is very high, and Kab. Bandung itself has a target of achieving a vaccination program of at least 80% which must be achieved by the end of 2021.” Obviously.

Dadang expressed his gratitude to Tel-U for its willingness to place its place to support the vaccination program of Kab. Bandung. This is proof that Tel-U cares about the environment.

“We hope that in the future Tel-U will continue to support this vaccination program in Bandung Regency, not only in events that are currently being held but for the next vaccination program. We also hope that in the future we can work together again, especially in programs related to developing the creative economy and turning villages into tourist attractions. Hopefully, Tel-U can continue to be a university that produces superior generations and gives birth to quality sons and daughters of the nation.” Dadang said.

Rector of Telkom University, Prof. Adiwijaya expressed his gratitude for the smooth implementation of this vaccination program and expressed his gratitude to the Bandung Regency government for entrusting Tel-U to become the vaccine center for the Bandung Regency area.

“This is a role model for how we (Tel-U) can teach human literacy on campus, so this is an implementation of how human literacy is implemented. Tel-U also has a vision of “tidak hanya kahartos tapi karaos” (not only understandable but also useful).” he said.

Until now, Tel-U has implemented a vaccination program for employees and families in collaboration with the West Java Regional Police, currently, 92% of employees and their families have been vaccinated. For students themselves, Tel-U has undergone a vaccination program for 4,000 Telkom University students who are domiciled in West Java.
