Bandung, Telkom University – Ramadhan is a month full of gift, a holy month as well an appropriate month to share. On this 1439H Ramadhan, Astacala Telkom University (Tel-U) held a fast breaking as well as good-will event with the orphans at Syamsul Ulum mosque on May 26th 2018.
About 500 orphans that was spread across 12 orphanage around Telkom University Ade present in the event entitled “Buka Puasa Bersama & Santunan Anak Yatim”.
The event was a result of collaboration of various parties involved, among them are Astacala, Telkom University Alumni Forumn (FAST), Tel-U Student Council, as well as Syamsul Ulum council.
The event began with the Quran recitation as well as a sermon, which is then followed by maghrib prayer.
Adetya Ika Zandika, as the chairman of the event, stated “This is the second year in which we have a fast breaking event with orphans. We did similar event last year. We hope this activity is more qualified in terms of benefits and can be done every year not only in the month of Ramadhan.
Event attendants included Telkom University Vice Rector IV, Dr. Ir. Rina Pudji Astuti, M.T as well as various Tel-u leaders, the head of FAST and STT Telkom (Telkom University) first 60 alumni. The alumni through FAST also Ade financial aid of 100 million for Symasul Ulum mosque space expansion.
After the fast breaking event was done, the event was closed with a goodiebag giveaway to all of the orphans who were present.
