BANDUNG, Telkom University – There was a suicide bombing incident at the Cathedral Church, Makassar, South Sulawesi on Sunday (28/3) at 10:28 WITA. When the explosion occurred, several church congregations were carrying out services.
Deep grief was felt by the Academic Civitas of Telkom University, seeing this incident, the Rector of Telkom University Prof. Adiwijaya spoke up and expressed his concern over the suicide bombing that took place at the Makassar Cathedral on Sunday morning. He said the incident had caused fear among the public.
“We (Telkom University) as a university that upholds the values ??of humanity, anti-terrorism, anti-radicalism condemn these actions. This has created fear and caused discomfort in the community. Hopefully, the victims will be handled soon and the community will be calm again, “he said.
Prof. Adiwijaya also provided support for the police in uncovering the motive of the suicide bombing and conveying expressions of condolences to the victims.
“Hopefully the police can immediately thoroughly investigate the motives and parties related to the perpetrators. We also want to express our deep sorrow for the victims who died and were injured in this incident, โhe concluded
