Telkom University will soon open limited offline lectures in both hybrid and blended learning (HBL) formats in the Odd semester of the 2021/2022 Academic Year. Students are also able to attend the onsite classroom on campus with strict health procedures and protocols.
This was stated by the Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs at Telkom University, Dr. Dadan Rahadian. According to him, all forms of learning activities are possible to be carried out offline as long as they meet the applicable conditions and conditions.
“First, the Tel-U campus area in Bandung Regency is included in the Covid-19 green zone category. Second, we have reported and obtained permission from the relevant agencies. Third, students who take offline lectures must meet the applicable requirements. Fourth, the implementation of offline lectures adheres to health protocols.”
There are several procedures and requirements for organizing an event on campus, including (i) domiciled in Greater Bandung (District of Bandung, Regency of West Bandung, City of Bandung, and City of Cimahi); (ii) have been vaccinated at least the first vaccine, (iii) obtained parental/guardian permission, and (iv) signed an integrity pact related to the Covid-19 prokes.
Especially for students outside Greater Bandung, offline lectures are generally not allowed, especially for other activities that are not related to learning activities. “However, activities related to practicum and final assignments are allowed with special permission and taking into account the Covid-19 health protocol,” said Dadan.
To ensure that there are no health protocol violations that occur during onsite lectures, Telkom University has also formed a Covid Task Force Team that has coordinated with related units. Facilities and infrastructure that support the process have been prepared and the rules for violations of the process have been established.
