BANDUNG, Telkom University: As a series of implementations of the Calendar of Culture Action (CoCA), Telkom University again held Leader’s Talk Value #3. Carrying the theme ‘Excellence in Research and Entrepreneurial University,’ this activity was held on Tuesday (13/9) online through the ZOOM Meeting.
In his speech, the Dean of the School of Applied Sciences at Telkom University, Angga Rusdinar Ph.D., said that the theme raised at the CoCA this time was very relevant to the vision of Telkom University.
“This is relevant to Telkom University’s vision to become a Research and Entrepreneurial University in 2023, and we have a common dream to produce NTF from innovative products.”
The CoCA event also launched the Collaborative Industrial Class between Telkom University and Tokopedia. Dr. Dadan Rahadian inaugurated this activity as Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs and Leny Suwardi as Senior Vice President of Data Protection and Privacy Office Tokopedia.
Dr. Dadan Rahadian explained that this program aligns with Telkom University’s goal to become a Global Entrepreneurial University and support the Merdeka Learning program for the Independent Campus. This collaboration through the Digital Marketing D3 Study Program is held as collaboration classes in the E-Commerce course.
“Today is a perfect day with a collaborative class between Telkom University and Tokopedia. It already represents KPI and also relates to collective and participatory classes. With the collaboration between Telkom University and Tokopedia, I think this class will invite MSMEs to do business through E-Commerce.
Dadan also said that students could become the center point in learning to have more substantial relevance to the industry.
Head of LLDIKTI Region IV, Dr. M Samsuri, said that the Collaborative Class between Telkom University and Tokopedia supports Merdeka Learn. Campus Merdeka program creates the future digital talents of the country, opens access for every academic community to learn to contribute to the country through technology, and becomes a forum for students, Telkom University lecturers, and Tokopedia to create innovations and new ideas for Indonesia.
“We appreciate this collaborative class. Hopefully, this activity can improve student competencies, both hard and soft skills. This collaboration class is also a form of learning at Telkom University, which is autonomous and flexible to create a learning culture that is innovative and unfettered. It follows student needs, thus ensuring that students get the best competencies, the latest competencies, and leading competencies to face the future world. .” Obviously.
Leny Suwardi, Tokopedia’s Senior Vice President of the Data Protection and Privacy Office, stated that leading digital talent is one of the keys to advancing and developing the country’s technology industry. “As an Indonesian technology company with a leading marketplace, Tokopedia believes it is the best digital talent to produce the best innovations and benefit the community, including local MSME activists who support more than 60% of Indonesia’s GDP. Almost 100% of the 12 million registered sellers on Tokopedia are MSMEs. So Tokopedia, through the Tokopedia Academy, collaborates with Telkom University and presents learning modules and courses that can prepare digital talents to support MSMEs so that they dominate in their own country, especially through the use of technology.”
The goal to be achieved in this collaboration class is to create a collaboration between Industry, Campus, and MSMEs in business development efforts to enable MSMEs to do marketing in the global market through E-Commerce. To achieve this goal, Tokopedia is involved in preparing PRS and delivering several lecture materials, as well as evaluating the major tasks carried out by students to help MSMEs.
Meanwhile, the D3 Digital Marketing Study Program, in collaboration with the Entrepreneur Laboratory’ Ko+Lab’, Faculty of Applied Sciences, facilitates the needs of MSMEs under the auspices of Ko+Lab to re-engineer business through Tokopedia.
This activity also invited speakers, Annabel as Tokopedia’s Merchant Education Lead, to present material on Starting an Online Business through E-Commerce.
