BANDUNG, Telkom University โ The world campus ranking agency, Times Higher Education (THE), has re-released the Young University Rankings 2022 based on the university age range, less than 50 years.
Through the www.timeshighereducation.com page, the list of THE Young University Rankings 2022 includes the world’s best universities founded between 1971 and 2022. The number has increased to 539 universities from around the world.
Of the 539 world universities, Telkom University managed to rank 401+ according to THE Young University Ranking 2021.
The ranking of THE Young University Rankings 2022 is based on several indicators, including; teaching (learning), research (research), citations (citations), international outlook (international view), as well as industry income.
In this assessment indicator, Telkom University achieved a teaching score of 18.3, research 14.3, citations 31.0, international outlook 15.9, and industry income 35.3, with a total score of 21.16 and in the range of 14.0-25.0. From these acquisitions, Telkom University has become a Private Higher Education (PTS) No. 1 in Indonesia and ranked second nationally alongside other best universities, including Sebelas Maret University in the first place and Bina Nusantara University in third place.
Established on August 14, 2013, Telkom University is a private university (PTS) that managed to become the best private university in Indonesia in 2019 and 2020, which is recognized worldwide through THE World University Ranking along with the top 9 best universities in Indonesia among ranks of the best State Universities (PTN).
Rector of Telkom University, Prof. Adiwijaya, expressed his pride and gratitude to the entire academic community of Telkom University who never stopped bringing the excellent name of Telkom University not only in Indonesia but in the world.
“This world achievement is a mandate for us (Tel-U) to continue to provide the best quality education for Indonesian. So that in the future Telkom University can produce a generation of people who can bring a good name not only to campus but also to Indonesia,” he said.
Prof. Adiwijaya added, at the beginning of 2022, various achievements have also been achieved by Telkom University, where previously Tel-U was named the number one private university in Indonesia according to Webometrics and ranked 7th in Indonesia ranked 1,408 in the world.
“From the Higher Education Service Institution (LLDIKTI) Region IV, Tel-U received six awards, including The Best for the 2021 Superior accreditation, the best for PTS with the most students doing activities outside campus, The most outstanding students, The best collaborative data management, the best Simonev filling compliance, and the best in data management for the 2021 DIKTIRISTEK award collaboration,” said Prof. Adiwijaya.
