The SMEs Development Needs to Involve All Sides

BANDUNG, PHONE โ€“ Vice Rector 3 Telkom University, Ir. AMA Suyanto MBA, DBA, invited all potential sides to participate in developing the Micro, Small, Medium Enterprises (SMEs) in West Java. “There is no success done alone, there is always a teamwork in victory,” he said.

This was stated by Vice Rector 3 during a meeting at the Hall of Department of Cooperatives, Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises-MSME (UMKM, red), Monday (1/2). According to him, there were some failure in executing the program due to the sectoral-ego, especially the ego to do it all programs by self.

“This must be changed. Lionel Messi could be the best player yet because there are other players support. MSME program can succeed if all the potential raised, explained the role, evaluated together, and each part work in earnest,” he said.

The Head of MSME West Java Province, Dudi Sudradjat Abdurachim said, government wanted to synergize all of existing potentials to the welfare of West Java. “In terms of programs, whether conducted by BPR Jabar and Kredit Cinta Rakyat (the public credit union), the funds had been distributed. However, optimization as well as the loan still must be fixed. Therefore, we call upon all the elements for brainstorming in shaping the future of our program,” he said.

Dudi added, indicators of well-being in government is the Human Development Index (HDI), both in the fields of education, health and purchasing power. “HDI will be effective if we implement the MDGs which is applied by UNDP from the United Nations. And the base of it all is Good Government, “he said.

According to Dudi, indicators of well-being of MSME not optimal because of the lack number of entrepreneur in West Java. There was below 1 percent, whereas the global standard stated at least 2 percent per country.

At this meeting was also attended by ITB information technology experts Basuki Suhardiman, CEO Paseban Muhammad Ihsan Firdaus, chairman of BJB, and Founder of Gerakan Indonesia Muda Berbisnis โ€“ GIMB (Indonesian Youth Businessman Movement, red) Agus Santoso. (Purel / raf / lia)
