Two Subject Fields in Telkom University to Enter QS Rankings

BANDUNG, Telkom University – The higher education ranking agency, QS World University Rankings (QS WUR), has again issued a list of universities that are considered the most excellent based on the subject areas (by Subject).

QS (Quacquarelli Symonds) is a global university ranking agency based in London, England. It assesses universities based on evaluation systems in relation to innovation, openness, education services, which covers research and teaching, benefits to the community (community service), and resource support.

According to the official website, topuniversities.com, the QS World University Rankings by Subject covers 51 academic disciplines, which are grouped into five broad subject areas. These rankings are compiled annually to help prospective students identify top universities in a specific field of study.

In the ranking issued by QS WUR at the beginning of 2023, Tel-U is ranked 551-600 in the world and ranked 6th in Indonesia in the fields of Computer Science and Information Systems.

QS WUR 2022 released its ranking and indicated that Telkom University received an overall score of 49.8. The results were based on several assessments, including Academic Reputation (18.7); Employer Reputation (16.3); Citation per Paper (8.05); H-Index Citations (6.69).

Prof. Adiwijaya expressed his gratitude to all the team for their contributions. “This is a collective result from all stakeholders involved, employees, researchers, lecturers and students. This is an assessment for everyone, and we are grateful to continue growing and innovating to improve our education in Indonesia,” he said.
