BANDUNG TEL-U- Departure of TEBS Choir of Telkom University to Praga Cekoslovakia was great. They brought home 3 awards proudly: one Silver medal for Mix category and two Gold medals for categories of Folklore and Best Choreography in the competition of Praga Cantant 2013.
During 27 years, Praga Cantat Festival has become international prestigious choir program. More than 700 teams of choirs have ever performed on the stage of Praga Cantat, and then more than 35 countries attended that festival every year. In this year, 35 students of Telkom Economic Business School (TEBS) of Telkom University have created achievement in international world, and done the best for Indonesia in the Praga Cantat Bohemian Festival held on Thursday (31/10/2013) till Sunday (3/11/2013).
“We have much more trained and prepared ourselves to performe in the Praga Cantat Bohemian Festival,” said Ines Janan Shabira, the cheaf of foreign affair festival of TEBS Choir of Tel-U that is one of the students of Communicational Science of TEBS.
According to Ines, It was not easy for TEBS Choir to participate in the competition. There were some considerations that must be thought by the comettee to let the TEBS Choir to perform. The comette usually find out every choir group’s background before they let the group performe. Fortunately, TEBS Choir ever became runner-up in Busan Choral Festival and Competition in South Korea.- KOMPRO
