ISCLO 2018: To Face Industrial Disruption 4.0 through Technology-Based Economic Contributions

Bandung, Telkom University – Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) Telkom University on Wednesday (4/7) held International Seminar which is held regularly every year. The 2018 International Seminar & Conference on Learning Organization (ISCLO 6th) was its sixth debut in recent years.

This seminar, which was held at the El Royale hotel, Bandung City, discussed various topics of current research from various sciences such as Economics, Finance & Accounting, Marketing, Entrepreneurship, Strategic Business, Information Technology, CRM, Operations, Human Resources & Industrial Organization, Knowledge Management, and Strategic Management.

The themes raised at this seminar are Leading Organization Based on Technology, Knowledge, and Innovation. The seminar was inaugurated by the Rector of Telkom University, Prof. Ir. Mochamad Ashari, M. Eng., Ph.D., accompanied by the Dean of FEB, Ir. Dodie Tricahyono, MM., Ph.D and Chairman of ISCLO 2018, Dr. Arif Partono Prasetio, M.M.

In his speech, Prof. Ashari said that all sectors need to be ready to face the industrial revolution 4.0. “As we know today the disruption of technology is increasingly widespread, not only in transportation sector that transformed to online, media digitization, but education cannot be separated from disruption. The question is, are we ready for industry 4.0? That’s what we will discuss at this conference, we focus on how each sector can contribute to help the Indonesian economy. Of course technology-based, “he said.

The implementation of ISCLO 2018 is expected to add insight and increase knowledge capacity. Scientific research discussed at the conference could enrich references for academia and practitioners. It is believed that ISCLO 2018 activities could encourage further scientific research which is more qualified and useful.

In addition to various interesting topics presented by the researchers, this seminar was attended by practitioners and academia from Indonesia, China and Canada. The three experts were; Dr. Ulf Henning Richter, Associate Professor of Global Business and Strategy, Tongji University, China; Maria Gloria Gonzales Morales Ph.D, Associate Professor & Research Director of the Occupational Health and Positive Psychology Lab (OHPP LAB), University of Guelph, Canada; and finally Mu’min Santoso – Co-founder and Managing Partner of Ilone Network (RACK Digital, Mothers on Mission, The Hatch), Indonesia.
