Bandung, Telkom University โ The Directorate of Student Affairs at Telkom University held the inauguration of around 47 Student Activity Units (UKM) online on Tuesday, (22/3). UKM is expected to be a place for self-actualization and learning media for organizational practice for students.
The Director of Student Affairs stated it at Tel-U, Desy Dwi Nurhandayani, S.T., M.M. He revealed that they could learn to contribute to the campus and the surrounding community by organizing students.
“Students who are members of UKM, we have given Student Management Skills Training (LKMM) so that students already have the skills to manage an organization. We as coaches hope that the surrounding community can also accept the benefits,” said Desy.
Forty-seven SMEs were appointed directly by the Chancellor of Tel-U, Prof. Dr. Adiwijaya, by first reading the promise set by the campus. The Chancellor appreciated the students who enthusiastically participated in on-campus organizations.
“Hopefully, all colleagues will be given the ease in carrying out the mandate. The coaches are also given fluency in the building. God willing, what we do will be a blessing to us. I am happy to be here, and I want to greet all of my colleagues.” Rector said.
The experience of organizing through UKM will always be beneficial for students to produce individuals who can become problem solvers. Not only for themselves but also for problems in society.
“Teamwork and good adaptation are also needed in order to be able to work together with anyone we meet.” Rector’s message.
