Biztalk, a Startup Leaders and Tel-U Student Meeting Event

Bandung Techno Park (BTP) through the BizTalk program held a Hybrid Webinar entitled ‘Building Business Ideas’ on Wednesday (15/3). This webinar aims to bring together startup practitioners and Tel-U students to share expertise and motivation related to building a startup from scratch.

BizTalk is a regular event hosted by BTP. In his remarks, BTP director, Koredianto Usman, S.T., M.Sc., stated that developing a business is one aspect of the entrepreneurial life path that requires a right and calculated attitude and ideas.

“In general, startups are built on two things: the results of community surveys (survey based) and meeting the needs of the community (demand based).” Both are equally fine; the most important thing is that we have the courage to develop a business that aims to assist the environment. The greatest way to learn is by experience, whether personal or from others. Take the positives,” Kore said.

On this occasion, BTP welcomed one of Bandung Techno Park Incubation Program (BTIP) 2020 alumni, Zulfa Fauziah, S.E., CEO of Female in Action, a woman’s empowerment startup that focuses on enhancing interpersonal skills using application technology that can be accessed anytime and anywhere.

“When establishing a startup, determine the ‘goal’ and ‘why’ first; this can serve as a strong identity for our company.” So that we have a clear plan to create effects and address problems,” Zulfa explained.

One of Tel-U’s alumni in 2008, who successfully built a startup, was also present as a speaker, namely Cahyo Tri Satria, M.Eng., the CEO of Techno Infinity. He believes meeting demand in the field is the first step of a business plan.

“When we originally started a business, our company objective was to address difficulties for those who wanted to learn programming. We now provide services and have evolved into a software house with a diversified customer base. Our first goal was to assist our fellow engineering students. Thank goodness, it’s growing.” explained Cahyo.

Dihqon Nadaamist, S.E., M.Si., the CEO of Clean Sheet, was also there. Clean Sheet is an emancipation-based home and office cleaning service business that encourages students and out-of-school children to follow their ambitions of receiving early funding from numerous investors.

“We must be able to assess what distinguishes us from others, including our vision, mission, and business model.” Business objectives must be precise as well. So that it becomes a point of uniqueness for our company, which is what is required to thrive in the startup industry,” stated Dihqon who was invited to the Kick Andy Show because of his substantial societal contributions.
