Caution, Plagiarism Trap!

BANDUNG, TEL-U – The coordinator of Kopertis Region IV Prof. Dr. Ir Abdul Hakim Halim, M Sc reminiscent Telkom University lecturers to avoid plagiarism despite of the own paper. It is delivered by Hakim on sharing session entitled Academic Integrity at Faculty of Economics and Business Telkom University (FEB Tel-U) on Friday (14/1).

“Ethics become important thing that must be put forward in education process. When someone do plagiarism even though it is only one sentence and that is not caught, still the person is unethical, “he said.

Hakim added, Plagiarism is the act of intentionally or unintentionally to obtain or try to obtain credit or value of a scientific work, citing in part or all of the work and or scientific work of others who are recognized as scientific works, without stating the source appropriately and adequately, This is in accordance with the Regulation of the Minister of Education, 2010.

“Therefore, basically say no to cheat or plagiarism is our ethics” he said.

The judge also reminded the entire faculty Tel-U to increase the number of publications both nationally and internationally in accordance with Permendikbud No. 49/2014. “General skills become masters course be a national journal publications, to become a doctor should be two national and international scientific journals, while the doctoral program to be a mentor, a professor of international journals should publish two papers,” he said.

This sharing session activity was attended by Vice Rector 2 Djusnimar Zultilisna, Dra, Akt, MM, Dean of FEB Ir Dodie Tricahyono MM, PhD, Vice Dean 2 Lia Yuldinawati, ST, MM, and the ranks of lecturers and staffs of FEB.

At the closing ceremony, Vice Rector 2 reminded the lecturers again not to do plagiarism ” the institution will be broken if there is one person who commits plagiarism, and the key is ourselves,” he said. (purel / AW)
