Deal with MEA, KPM Tel-U Organized Table Manner & Public Speaking Workshop
BANDUNG, TEL-U – Step in MEA, Table Manner & Public Speaking become one of effort to welcome it. This era requires every person to prepare and deal with the crowds of international level at banquet time. To improve those require capabilities, Korps Protokol Mahasiswa (KPM) Tel-U organized the third Table Manner & Public Speaking Workshop (TMWPS) in 2016 entitled “Professionalism begins here”.
The event was held at Gardenia Ballroom Sheraton Hotel & Towers Bandung, Saturday (16/04), was attended by Director of Student Affairs Tel-U Andijoko Tjahyono, the constructor of KPM Tel-U Maylanny Christin, KPM Companions such as UPI, Padjadjaran University, and Maranatha, the participants both Tel-U students and public.
All participants followed a whole activities enthusiastically started from Hotel Tour, Cooking Demo, Public Speaking Workshop by Isabella Fawzi (Net TV Presenter), and closed by Table Manner as the top event.
In accordance with the theme, this activity aimed to improve the participant’s soft skill to be more professional. “The purpose of TMWPS 2016 is to practice and improve our soft skill in banquet time as well in public speaking,” said Maurizka, a chairman of TMWPS 2016.
To emphasize and improve the banquet skills, Maylanny said her experiences while teaching in Australia. “Why we should manner our eating? I remembered when my friend asked for the ketchup in the middle of dining time, and colleagues admonished that if we ask for the ketchup while eating, it means we do not respect people who cook for us, and the same as saying that the food is not tasty, “said Maylanny.
Seeing the importance of these soft skills, Andijoko also admitted to support this positive activity and recline fully to KPM Tel-U. “I beg to all members of KPM Tel-U and KPM Companion can join hands to lead the protocol activities turn into habitual and behavioral things which is full of beneficial especially in Tel-U, and it would be very beneficial for personal development to face MEA era and jumped into industry, “he said.
