Deddy Mizwar Invites Students to Criticize Through Film

BANDUNG, TEL-U – Film can raise social sensitivity critically with good aesthetic approach, so that, it can touch the public sensitivity who watch it.

It was conveyed by the Vice Governor of West Java, Deddy Miswar in a talk show entitled “Meraih Mimpi Dunia Film” at SCTV Goes To Campus. The event was held in the 4th Floor Hall Kawalusu Building FKB Tel-U on Thursday (7/5).

According to the actor of Naga Bonar, the film can be like a magic so as people can temperamental emotions just by watching the film. The film itself has a great influence on the way public thinking. Thus, film could be used as a social control for the community. “Try to criticize using film, use the approach of aesthetics and ethics,” he said.

Deddy explained, short films can become an expression medium of feelings and thoughts of youth. Through film, we can create a wide symbols of emotions, culture, and imagination. “You should be able to move people with your ideas and thoughts through the film,” he said.

Besides Deddy Mizwar also attended the Director of Ilthabi Rekatama, Ilham Akbar Habibie. He also delivered material entitled “Menerbangkan Indonesia ke Masa Depan”.

Ilham said that we should have a commitment that this nation own the ability. The key in the development of the technology is qualified human resources. “We have to transform our society into a knowledgeable and innovative society and dare to make a change,” he said.

Ilham added, there is no such thing as luck, only the opportunity and readiness. If both of these met together, then it is called luck. “We can learn to prepare, but we also able to read situation, where we can realistically contribute to work,” he said. (Purel / EAD)
