The West Java I Directorate General of Taxes (DGT) carried out an online visit to Telkom University on Monday (8/3) using the Zoom Meeting. This activity aims to strengthen the cooperation between DGT West Java I and Tel-U which has been running for a long time, as well as discussing the Bintek and Communication Program between the Directorate of Finance Tel-U and the DGT.
Rector of Telkom University, Prof. Dr. Adiwijaya, said that at Tel-U itself a Tax Center was established, a facility as a result of the collaboration between DJP West Java I and Tel-U several years ago.
“This facility (Tax Center) is a place for Learning Regarding Taxation, we are very grateful to have built this facility a long time ago. Tel-U also has the responsibility of forming superior human resources, one of which is that we always continue to provide tax awareness socialization to taxpayers to obey and help nation development. If later there is cooperation, we hope that the implementation can be felt by the wider community and be a blessing, “said Adiwijaya.
Head of DJP West Java I, Erna Sulistyowati, hopes to continue working with Tel-U in the next few years. Not only about the socialization of taxation at Tel-U internally, but also MSME assistance for tax awareness.
“In the future, we want to work together in mentoring MSMEs, especially in West Java. We can work together to provide training, socialization, and facilitate them in reporting their annual tax return. It can be a good contribution to society, “he said.
In the discussion session, the leaders of their respective institutions discussed several potential collaborations such as UMKM Assistance, Village Empowerment, Student Education, Establishment of Tax Ambassadors, Webinars on Tax, Student Programs at DGT, and tax education and its implementation at Tel-U.
