BANDUNG, TEL-U – Students from Faculty of Communications and Business Telkom University (FKB Tel-U) achieved 3rd place in the Public Relations Debate Competition, Kampong Communications in 2015, which was held at the Islamic University of Indonesia (UII) in Yogyakarta. The competition was held on 25 and May 28, 2015 and Telkom University’s team managed to set aside a number of participants from various universities in Indonesia.
The themes debated in the competition was about MEA viewed from the perspective of communication science, especially Public Relations. Tel-U team consists of Ricky Aditya (Prodi Business Administration), and Surya Budi Setiawan Dinda Putri (Prodi Communication Studies).
This competition uses the knockout system. That is, each team only has one chance in every round. For the first round, Tel-U team paired with the host team, UII.
“In this first game, had a system error occurs on the committee, but ended with a win for the Tel-U team. The victory was drove us straight into the round of 8. Allhamdulilah scores of Tel-U team obtained the highest score, “said Budi Setiawan.
In the quarter-finals, leaving UNDIP Team, Budi Luhur University team, UNPAD team and Tel-U team. In this round Tel-U team faced UNPAD team, and Tel-U have minded losing to Unpad. At half competition for 3rd position Tel-U faced Budi Luhur University.
