Forestry Team Won 3 place at Indonesian Cyber Army 2015

BANDUNG, TEL-U – Foresty team Telkom University (Tel-U) managed to occupy 3rd place in the competition of Indonesian Cyber Army 2015. The team consists of mix students from Faculty of Engineering Informatics (FIF) and the Faculty of Engineering Industry (FRI) has struggled along on competition in the category CTF Hacking held in STIKOM Bali on October 2.
“In this competition we are challenged to maintain the security of our team server. Likewise, we should be able to break into the opposing team’s server, “said S1 student Personal Information, Novelino Yona Lukito, Foresty members team, Friday (9/10). Besides Novelino, a member of another team, S1 students Informatics Engineering student, Reza Habib Khalifa and S1 Student Information Systems, Apridana Ari.
He continued, “We were given 5 hours nonstop to server defense activities, and attacks on other servers. We obtained a score of 21, “said Novelino. He acknowledged competitors in Indonesian Cyber Army is quite heavy. Until finally one winner and champion 2 successfully occupied by two teams from the University of Indonesia.
Novelino revealed, when the team competition Foresty pursuing a strategy of defense and attack simultaneously. According to him, the concept of networking and security network must be controlled in this competition. In addition Foresty team also must master the knowledge of the Linux operating system.
Indonesian Cyber Army competition consists of two categories namely CTF and CTF Hacking Forensic each of which was followed by delegation Tel-U. Novelino probably will no longer follow the Indonesian Cyber Army in organizing next year because it must prepare for graduation. However Laboratory of Forensic and Security Tel-U will participate again send representatives to the name Tel-U in subsequent competitions. – (Purel / risca)
