BANDUNG, TEL-U – Hasna, student of Textile Craft and Fashion School of Creative Industries Telkom University (KTM FIK Tel-U) crowned as Favorite Winner in the event of Islamic Fashion Design Competition 2016 which held at Jakarta Convention Center ( JCC), June 15 to 19, 2016.
Hasna advance to the Main Stage of Cendrawasih Hall JCC, on Thursday (16/6) together with seven other finalists to demonstrate their works. Three of the finalists were also students of FIK Tel-U. They are Adzni Anzalia Roehan, Shema Rahmania, and Tria Jatnika.
The fashion show resulted Hasna Husni as Favorite Winner Islamic Fashion Design Competition 2016 which demonstrated a casual dress to the theme of Bunaken Marine Park. “This casual outfit was designed for an active age around 20-25 years old and I play with the elements of coral reefs,” said Hasna.
Inspired by the beautiful underwater of Indonesia especially at Bunaken marine park, Hasna explained that her preparation for this event only two weeks. “Previously, we also have a counseling session with the judges,” he said.
Entitled Urban Artculturae, an event organized by the Ministry of Tourism is also supported by several senior designer in the field of ethnic Muslim fashion in the Association of Indonesian Fashion Designers and Entrepreneurs (APPMI) and some designers from Muslim Fashion Designers Association (IPBM).
Hasna grateful to be a champion. For her, presented the best work and having a chance to interact with the judges which is senior designer in Indonesia became an extraordinary experience. “Thank God I’m very grateful.
