BANDUNG, TEL-U – Actively involved in developing the resources, especially education and economics, Telkom University (Tel-U) through Telkom University Career (TUC) created cooperation with Kompas Gramedia. It was marked by signing Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Telkom University and Kompas Gramedia in Telkom University Convention Hall on Saturday (2/4/165), coinciding with Graduation Ceremony Period II Academic Year 2015/2016.
The MoU signing was done by B. Sigit Suryanto as Corporate Human Resources Director of Kompas Gramedia, and Prof. Ir. Mochamad Ashari, M. Eng., Ph.D. as Rector of Telkom University. Both sides agreed to cooperate in the scope of the recruitment system, apprenticeship system, workshops or lectures, community service, research, development of student competence, and industrial visits.
According to Rector, through this cooperation Tel-U can actively engage with information and communication technology (ICT) development as well as economic support methods in the corridors of knowledge. While a partner such as Kompas Gramedia served as a platform of knowledge and the application of research results. “Therefore Tel-U and industry can jointly develop Indonesia especially in education and economy,” he said.
Meanwhile, Sigit said that Kompas Gramedia is the largest media group in Indonesia which massively develop. Besides dealing in Print Media, Kompas Gramedia also consist of Digital Business Media, Electronic Media, Media Services, Retail & Publishing, Manufacture & Printing, Hospitality, Event Services, Education and Corporate. Therefore, every year Kompas Gramedia always require professionals as human resources (HR) in companies.
“As a university with strong information and communication technology concepts, Kompas Gramedia see Telkom University as a creator of competent human resources for business purposes development of Kompas Gramedia,” he said. (Purel / cdc / putri)
