MENKOMINFO RI:  “Students Should Have a Role Model”

JAKARTA, TEL-U- Indonesia is now entering the era of ASEAN Economic Community (AEC). Therefore, the Indonesian Human Resources should be prepared to adequate and bring the Indonesia to win the competition. Minister of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT) Rudiantara believes the student should have a role model and have a vision after they graduated from college.

“Students currently rarely have a role model, so they confuse what to do after graduation. For that we need to make a lot of role models so that students can follow the footsteps of successful person.” Rudiantara said at hearings session Telkom University with MENKOMINFO in MENKOMINFO Building 7th floor, Jakarta, Tuesday (15/9).
This session attended by Rector of Tel-U Prof. Mochammad Ashari, M. Eng., Ph.D., Dean of FEB Tel-U, Dodie Tricahyono, Ph.D., and Head of Magister Management, Dr. Dadan Rahadian, M-Stars Representative Joseph Edi Lumban Gaol and representatives of PT. Epsilon, Eka Sudjana.

Related to those problems, Rector Prof. Tel-U M Ashari submit an evaluation report on the activities of the ICT Expo 2015 and ID Talent Bootcamp 2015 organized by the Tel-U couple days ago. Tel-U will cooperate with several companies to build Analitics Data Center by utilizing a laboratory owned by the Tel-U. So that lecturers and students can collaborate to make Big Data Analytics. Big Data is a challenge in the digital age, therefore the company should be able to read the phenomenon of Big Data in order to win the competition. Rudiantara appreciation for the efforts that have been made by Tel-U and will assist in fostering the talents. (Purel / Tyas / Risca)
