BANDUNG, TEL-U – Internal Audit Unit (SAI, red) and the Directorate of Information Systems Telkom University (Sisfo Tel-U) in collaboration with Bureau Veritas (BV) held Internal Auditor Training ISO 20000-1: 2011 for preparing the auditor can perform the audit in accordance ISO standard 20000-1: 2011. This training was held for three since Wednesday-Friday (25 – 27/5).
The participants are preferred employees who have a background knowledge of information technology. They came from seven faculties and support units who are also involved in the implementation of the service management system, such as the Directorate of Information Systems, Quality Assurance Unit, Internal Audit Unit, Library, and Academic Administration Section.
According to the Vice Rector 1, Dr Heroe Wijanto, after obtaining ISO 9001: 2008 last year, Tel-U plans to achieve ISO 20000-1: 2011. This ISO / IEC 20000-1: 2011 is an international standard service management system that focuses on distribution and improvement of services to customers.
ISO 20000-1: 2011 is the international standard for IT Service Management (ITSM). This standard specifies the processes, policies, documentation, roles and responsibilities related to the implementation and support of information technology services, requirements for service providers to plan, establish, operate, monitor, maintain, and improve a management system services.
These requirements include the design, transfer, distribution, and services repair to meet the agreed service requirements. “Thus ISO 20000-1: 2011 may be the basis for external service providers in the improvement and enhancement on Information Technology services,” he said. (Purel / SAI)
