Tel-U and Huawei Collaboration in 5G Development

BANDUNG, Telkom University โ€“ Huawei Indonesia visited Telkom University, on Tuesday (27/4) and was led by VP Public Affairs and Communications Ken Qi was welcomed by the Rector of Telkom University, Prof. Adiwijaya.

The discussion held on the 5th Floor Of Bangkit Building Telkom University discussed research collaboration in the 5G field, starting with the initiation of a discussion with 5G researchers to discuss facilities that can be assisted and what facilities on campus relate to 5G. At the same time strengthening synergies in supporting the 100 thousand digital talent program for Indonesia.

In addition, in the future, Tel-U and Huawei want to make Local Manufacturing, where Tel-U will propose to become 1 of the local manufacturing in the campus environment.

According to Ken Qi, the collaboration between Telkom University and Huawei has been going on for quite a long time, and everyone knows that Tel-U as the best private university in Indonesia has always succeeded in producing talents that contribute to the name of the Indonesian nation.

“The cooperation between us has been well maintained. In recent years through several talent development activities, one of which is the Huawei ICT Academy and the ICT Competition, Tel-U has produced many generations who will build the Indonesian nation in the future, here we want to discuss the potential kind of cooperation that will be developed in the future, and one of them is in the field of 5G.โ€ Obviously.

Rector of Telkom University Prof. Adiwijaya welcomed this visit, according to him, this is in line with Telkom University’s vision which will become a research and innovation-based university, as well as contribute to the Indonesian nation.

“Hopefully we can implement this collaboration soon so that in the future we can jointly develop future technologies, which will be useful not only for Indonesia but for the whole world.”
