Poca Group visited Telkom University onsite, which took place on Tuesday (06/07). This visit’s purpose is to sign a memorandum of understanding between Poca Group and Telkom University related to Tri Dharma, recruitment, scholarships, and so on.
The Rector of Telkom University, Prof. Dr. Adiwijaya, appreciates all forms of cooperation, especially with industry. According to him, this helps Tel-U to prepare a skill set for students to match the demands of today’s industry.
“I hope that it is not only collaboration for innovation and research, but furthermore students can do internships and even recruit future recruits. We strive to continue to increase non-tuition fees through research and innovation. We prepare solutions (HR) for the industry. Therefore, industrial partners are needed to find out how the HR needs in the field are currently.” Adiwijaya said.
At the meeting of these two institutions, the discussion focused on how both parties could develop competitive human resource competencies. Tel-U and Poca also agreed to provide a platform for students interested in apprenticeships and recruitment if they meet the company’s criteria. In addition, Poca Group distributes donations to Tel-U, which can be used as an Endowment Fund.
President Director of PT. Poca Network Solutions, Agus Sophian, revealed that various collaborations could be done soon. Apart from those mentioned above, he hopes to develop a telecommunication network evenly distributed in remote areas with Tel-U.
“Perhaps we can immediately elaborate on various collaborations, such as development in remote villages. For the development of HR competencies (students), such as apprenticeships, it seems that we can immediately implement them. If there are Tel-U experts who can provide interesting material to invite at Poca, we are very open.”
