BANDUNG, Telkom University – Telkom University, and the Indonesian Navy Maritime Potential Development Office signed a cooperation agreement on Tuesday (2/3) in Bangkit Building Telkom University. The collaboration developed as the Tri Dharma of Higher Education and Institutional Resource Development.
This Memorandum of Understanding was signed by Prof. Dr. Adiwijaya as Rector of Telkom University and Brigadier General of the Indonesian Navy Nuri Andrianis Djatmika as Head of the Indonesian Navy Maritime Potential Development Service. Meanwhile, the Memorandum of Understanding was signed by Dr. Z. K. Abdurahman Baizal, S.Si., M.Kom. as Dean of the Faculty of Informatics Telkom University and Lieutenant Colonel Mar Widoyono, M.M., M.Tr. Hanla as Kasubdishinpuan.
In his speech, Prof. Dr. Adiwijaya as the Rector of Telkom University said that at this time all aspects of life needed the role of IT. As an information technology-based campus, Telkom University continues to contribute to the nation, one of which is in the maritime field.
“To build superior human resources, it is not enough only knowledge that is owned but must shift to skills. To gain skills requires experience in applying science. With this collaboration, it is hoped that this knowledge can be implemented and make a positive contribution to this nation, “he said.
Head of the Navy’s Maritime Potential Development Service, Brigadier General TNI Marines Nuri Andrianis Djatmika said that building this country cannot be carried out by just one agency but all components of society with their respective duties and functions. Through the Hackathon collaboration, it is hoped that there will be cooperation in other fields.
“Through information technology, it is expected to use as an innovation for the prosperity and goodness of this nation,” he said.
In more detail, the form of this collaboration is the Implementation of the PPKM-Maritime Hackathon TA 2021 which was carried out by the School of Informatics Telkom University with the Subdisbinpuan of the Navy Maritime Potential Development Service.
