BANDUNG, TEL-U – Rector of Telkom University (Tel-U), Prof. Ir Mochamad Ashari M Eng, PhD claimed ready to assist the Government of the City and County of Bandung to resolved the various problems that exist in both these areas. “The problem being faced by the citizens of Bandung is also our responsibility as an educational institution. Therefore, we are ready to help government to solve it,” said Rector.
This was conveyed by the Rector before the Bandung Regent, H. Dadang M. Naser and Mayor of Bandung, Ridwan Kamil, and the lines in both governments at the signed of the Memorandum of Mutual Agreement Between Government of Bandung City with Government of Bandung District About Cross-Regional Cooperation Arrangement. The event was held at the School of Creative Industry Building Sebatik Telkom University (FIK), Tuesday (28/6).
There was ten points which included in the scope of cooperation. Started from urban development, spatial planning, housing, transport, education, health, and culture and tourism.
According to Regent of Bandung, the deal was new history which inscribed on the progress of both areas because expected to resolve problems such as flooding and traffic congestion that has long not been able to resolved. “Let’s get rid sectoral ego for the progress of society,” said Regent.
Same with the Regent, Mayor of Bandung also hoped that the classic issues that had emerged in the city and surrounding areas can be immediately addressed. “From now on City Officials Bandung can move directly without any reason ‘clumsy because there are no rules’ because this MoU has become a legal basis to do the coordination,” said the Mayor.
