BANDUNG, Telkom University – Entering the current New Normal era, Telkom University (Tel-U) will continue to improve the quality of education by carrying out external quality audits to maintain agency quality as a priority.
The ISO 9001: 2015 external quality audit was conducted online through the ZOOM application with auditor Ade Haris Mustafa from BSI (British Standards Institution).
ISO 9001: 2015 is an international standard for quality management system certification or Quality management system certification. Where previously Telkom University had achieved ISO 9001: 2008 and was declared Recertified from ISO 9001: 2008 to ISO 9001: 2015 by the BSI Certification Board in 2018.
At the opening of the ISO 9001: 2015 Surveillance Audit 2 Meeting, auditor Ade Haris said that this activity would take place for three days starting 24-26 June 2020. On the first day, there would be a management review, followed by a discussion on admission.
“In the new normal era, we want to see how Telkom University is in the learning process at the faculty, recruiting new students, after that we continue the discussion for student affairs to see the readiness of Tel-U in student activities.” He said.
In this audit, Ade added that there would be an audit for the faculties, the first day entering the Faculty of Communication and Business, then the second day the Faculty of Creative Industries, the Faculty of Applied Sciences and the Directorate of Career Development. Then on the last day, he entered the Faculty of Economics and Business.
“Through this audit, we are not looking for flaws, but this audit is conducted to develop positive effort at Telkom University, and it can be improved for the better.” He said.
Telkom University Academic Vice-Rector I Dr. Dadan Rahadian explained that this external quality audit was necessary to jointly improve the quality of education, especially during a pandemic.
“During this pandemic, we have carried out online internal audits. The external Audit is being conducted in the new norms. I hope this audit will be going properly for jointly developing this institution. “He said.
