Tel-U Organized MSIB Fair, a Student and Industry Collaborative Event

Bandung, Telkom University โ€“ Telkom University held the MSIB Fair as part of a series of events at the 32nd Tel-U Anniversary celebration which took place on Tuesday (29/11) at the Telkom University Convention Hall. This activity took place simultaneously with other events, namely Market Days 2022, Digital Talent, and Innovation, and Tel-U Anniversary Night.

The MSIB Fair aims as a means to strengthen cooperation and share knowledge between educational institutions. This was revealed by the Head of LLDIKTI Region IV West Java and Banten, Dr. M. Samsuri, S.Pd., M.T.

โ€œThis is a means to exchange ideas, get to know one another, for the development of our nation. MSIB is one of the programs of the Merdeka Campus. It is hoped that students can practice and learn on campus and in the field. This MSIB Fair is an event to show off kindness, so that we can motivate each other.โ€ Samsuri said.

The Rector of Telkom University, Prof. Dr. Adiwijaya, said that the MSIB Fair was expected to increase engagement between students and the industry who attended. So that graduates and industry have similarities and relevance in the future.

“The issue of relevance for graduates is a consideration by the Minister. This is one way, so that we can strengthen this relevance, so that students are better prepared to enter the world of work. In this MSIB, the end is for the benefit not only for the campus, but for students so that they engage more quickly and are relevant to the jobs they get.” 

At the MSIB Fair event, there was an MSIB Sharing Session which presented inspiring speakers including the Head of the MSIB Independent Campus Program, Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Technology, Tutus Kusuma; Rector of Padjadjaran University, Prof. Dr. Rina Indiastuti; Telkom University Vice Rector for Academic Affairs, Dr. Dadan Rahadian; Head of Innovation Team at Bank Indonesia Institute, Janu Dewandaru.

For students to get to know the industry better, at the end of the event there was an MSIB Collaborative Insight Partner presented by various companies such as Orbit Academy; Advanced Incandescent; Indobot Academy; Rise; Let’s study; Observe Indonesia; Bank BTN; Bank BRI; Export School; Cadfem; Samsung; and LLDIKTI IV.
