As the best private campus in Indonesia, Telkom University supports one of the Pariaman City Government programs, namely Satu Keluarga Satu Sarjana, through Telkom University entrance exam for around 65 students on Saturday (16/04). With the establishment of the MoU between the two institutions, several privileges were obtained by the participants in Kota Pariaman.
It was revealed by the Mayor of Pariaman, Genius Umar, when he visited during the exams at SMP 1 and SMP 2 Kota Pariaman. He also expressed his appreciation to the Tel-U campus for supporting the Saga Only program.
“This is our first collaboration in the Saga Only program with Telkom University. Children in Pariaman City are interested in. We are conducting entrance exams at 2 (two) schools, namely SMP 1 and SMP 2 Kota Pariaman, with 65 participants,” said Genius.
The various facilities provided by Tel-U to the Kota Pariaman provide opportunities for Kota Pariaman to continue their education to a higher level, in this case, universities. Genius also emphasized that he is determined to break the chain of poverty in Pariaman City through education.
For information, Telkom University and the Pariaman City Government have previously established cooperation in an MoU, which was signed on February 11, 2022. This collaboration includes HR competency development, a Student internship program; Expert assistance; and IT implementation in government institutions.
The holding of the entrance exam to Tel-U, which participants from Pariaman attended, is the first implementation of this collaboration and hopefully spawns other collaborations in the future.
