Bandung, Telkom University – Telkom University participated in the ASEAN University Network-Quality Assurance (AUN QA) Certification. This International Certification was issued on October 3, 2021. From the assessment results, three master study programs at Telkom University have been certified by AUN-QA, namely Master of Electrical Engineering, Master of Industrial Engineering, and Master of Informatics.
Telkom University proposed this certification in 2020 and visitation in August 2021. There are 11 assessment criteria for this certification: the Learning Outcome Program, Program Specification, Program Structure & Content, Teaching & Learning Approach, Student Assessment, Academic Staff Quality, Support Staff Quality, Student Quality & Support, Facilities & Infrastructure, and Quality Enhancement, and Output.
ASEAN University Network (AUN) is an organization that is engaged in cooperation between universities in the Southeast Asia region. AUN itself was established as a forum to guarantee the quality of higher education, strengthen cooperation, promote higher education quality assurance, and collaborate with regional and international parties in the ASEAN Region. Meanwhile, AUN-QA is one of the certification activities carried out by AUN in conducting quality assurance in each university study program that is a member.
In addition, AUN-QA can also be a stepping stone towards international accreditation at the global level. The benefit for universities whose study programs get AUN-QA certification is the equality of the quality of study programs at the university with quality study programs in ASEAN. Telkom University was officially registered as an AUN-QA Associate Member on October 2, 2019.
In line with the mission of Telkom University, the Chancellor of Telkom University said that this certification was carried out as a strategic step in meeting international standards in the field of education.
