Bandung:ย Telkom University and Volta Indonesia held a collaboration regarding electric vehicles on Friday (19/11). This collaboration was marked by the signing of a memorandum of understanding between the leadership and the handover of an electric motor grant held at Tel-U Coffee.
Rector of Telkom University, Prof. Dr. Adiwijaya, revealed that Tel-U is continuously developing research in electric transportation. It is to support emission reduction, which the government also echoes. In addition, as a green campus, Tel-U is also very concerned about the use of electric vehicles as campus transportation.
In this collaboration, Tel-U will receive an electric motorcycle grant from Volta to support research and development related to electric vehicles at Tel-U. We know that electric vehicles are currently being talked about a lot. It is to reduce global emissions, increasing day by day.
“We are very proud to be working with one of the electric vehicle manufacturers in Indonesia, namely Volta. With this, we hope to accelerate our research related to electric motors. Apart from this grant, we think there will be other collaborations that will benefit our students in the future,” said the Rector.
Director of PT. Volta Indonesia Semesta, Willty Awan said that this collaboration is a form of contribution to the country to increase the use of electric vehicles in reducing motor vehicle emissions. He hoped that this electric motor grant, apart from research, could be an environmentally friendly means of campus transportation.
“We are helping the growth of electric vehicles in Indonesia. This collaboration is not limited to just research but also includes other fields such as student internships and collaborations. I am very grateful,” said Awan.
