BANDUNG, Telkom University – Telkom University had the opportunity to host an event in the programming field, namely Techconnect Hackathon batch 2 in 2022.
Quoting from hackathon.com, the Hackathon itself is an event that brings together experts and creates a collaborative environment to solve specific problems. While most hackathons revolve around computer programming and IT, many other industries follow suit.
The competition to solve problems in the industrial world and find the best ideas is an event organized by TechConnect from Sinar Mas Mining, which is part of the PT Sinar Mas Group.
This competition is divided into two categories: Bug Bounty and Ideas Generation. In the final of this competition, 19 finalist teams participated, and two teams were Telkom University students, namely the D’creative Indonesia team and the GPP Lost team.
At the opening of the Techconnect Hackathon batch 2 in 2022, which took place at the Multipurpose Building Telkom University, Thursday (7/7), Paulus Swasono Satyo Nugroho, Chief Human Resources Officer of Techconnect, said that in anticipating the current disruption, reliable talents were needed. And it’s all already in this room.
“Sinar Group has a target of at least 2000 programmers every year, and I hope that through this activity, we can achieve that goal so that in the future, the collaboration between Techconnect academies and stakeholders can produce technology that has benefits for the Indonesian nation,” he said.
Deputy Dean for Academic Affairs and Research Support, Faculty of Informatics, Dr. Didit Adytia, in his speech, expressed his gratitude to PT Sinar Mas Group, especially Techconnect, which has given confidence to Telkom University in organizing a big event like this.
“This event is very interesting for fellow students, where through this activity we hope that students can express their best ideas so that they can be implemented in the industrial world, so that in the future through these ideas they can develop industry in the country.
Techconnect Hackathon batch 2 2022 is an innovation event where technology talents gather to solve problems and improve product services from Sinar Mas Mining’s various futuristic businesses. The final Techconnect Hackathon will last for two days, opening on Thursday 7 July 2022 and closing on Friday 8 July 2022.
