BANDUNG, Telkom University – Based on the ranking issued by Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings (WUR) in 2020, placing Telkom University into the world’s best university and entering into the 9 best universities in Indonesia along with 8 State Universities (PTN) ).
In 2021 this time, through the official website www.timeshighereducation.com, THE WUR has released the Emerging Economies University Rankings 2021, on Tuesday, March 9, 2021, wherein the ranking, Telkom University has made it into the 501+ ranks of the world’s best universities.
THE World University Rankings is a globally recognized ranking institution and one of the top-ranking providers for quality assessment of institutions worldwide. In THE World University Rankings 2021 this time, 1,500 universities from 93 countries and territories are included in the ranking, making THE a ranking the largest and most diverse university to date.
Quoting from the official website www.timeshighereducation.com, THE WUR Emerging Economies University Rankings uses 13 performance indicators and regroups into 5 (five) fields, namely; Teaching (Learning), Research (Research), Citations (citations/quotes), International outlook (International Outlook), and Industry income.
Rector of Telkom University Prof. Dr. Adiwijaya congratulated Telkom University on the achievements, according to him; this was the result of hard work and smart work from Telkom University academics as well as contributions from alumni and all stakeholders.
“This achievement is a mandate for us (Tel-U) to continue to provide the best for the Indonesian nation. We hope that this achievement can be beneficial not only for the academic community but also as an encouragement for all of us to make the best contribution to the people and nation of Indonesia.” He explained.
