Two Science Fields of Telkom University Listed in the QS Ranking

BANDUNG, Telkom University – Telkom University (Tel-U) as the no.1 best Private Higher Education (PTS) in Indonesia again won a brilliant ranking. This time, the QS World University Rankings higher education institution has released a list of universities that are considered to be the most superior based on their field of study (by subject).

QS (Quacquarelli Symonds), a World university rating agency based in London, England, uses an assessment based on a rating evaluation system related to innovation, openness, educational services which include research and teaching, benefit to the surrounding community (community service), and also related support resource.

For the 2021 edition which was released on March 3, 2021, Telkom University (Tel-U) managed to enter the 551-600 world rankings and 6th in Indonesia for the fields of Computer Science and Information Systems.

Previously, in the field of Computer Engineering Telkom University had also received recognition from the Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings (WUR) and made it into the top 5 best universities in Indonesia alongside state universities.

Quoting the official website topuniversities.com, the QS ranking of universities in the world by field of study covers 51 disciplines, which are grouped into five broad subject areas. This ranking is compiled annually to help prospective students identify top universities in a particular field of study.

Rector of Telkom University, Prof. Adiwijaya said that Telkom University does have advantages in the field of ICT (Information Communication & Technology), which is the mission of Tel-U in organizing and developing international standard education based on information technology.

Therefore, by being recognized internationally, this field of science makes Telkom University committed to producing graduates who are globally competitive based on technology information.” He said.
