UI Visits Tel-U, Discussion on Citation Improvement Strategy, HR, and Tri Dharma

University of Indonesia (UI) visited Telkom University online through the ZOOM Meeting on Monday (25/04). The agenda for this visit is a comparative study and online discussion related to strategies for increasing citations, Human Resources, and the Tri Dharma.

In her remarks, Dr. Ir. Rina Pudji Astuti, M.T, Vice-Rector for Research, Innovation, and Cooperation at Telkom University, said that through this comparative study, it is hoped that UI and Telkom University can learn from each other and increase collaboration between universities.

“Tel-U received a comparative study visit from UI, which is extraordinary. We are relatively new, and we realize it isn’t easy to catch up with contributions from other major campuses. But we will continue to learn to catch up and improve ourselves to make a wider contribution to the nation.” said Rina.

Also present were the Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs, Dr. Dadan Rahadian, and PGS Vice Chancellor for Resources and Vice Chancellor for Admissions, Student Affairs, and Alumni, Dr. Dida Diah Damajanti, S.T., M.Eng., Sc.

“We hope that from this visit there will be cooperation initiatives. There are many things that we feel we can learn from UI. So I think, at this time, education must collaborate a lot to provide opportunities in multi pathways. Hopefully, it will be useful for us.” said Dadan.

“We also need to learn a lot from UI. We need to collaborate to be even better. It is a good opportunity for us (Tel-U) to learn new things from one of the best campuses in Indonesia (UI).” Dida said.

UI Secretary Agustin Kusumayati M.Sc, Ph.D., said that he and his team were very impressed with Tel-U’s achievements in such a short period. It is why UI wants to have an in-depth discussion with Tel-U. “So we say that we are impressed with the achievements for the citation parameters. The performance of Tel-U is excellent. That’s better than what other private universities have achieved. That is one of the focuses that we want to discuss, and the fact is that we both learn at this meeting.” Augustine said.
