Hanbat University Conducted Collaborative Research with Telkom University
Bandung, Telkom University – As a world-class university, the distribution of collaboration must certainly be global. It is apparently to show the existence of Telkom University in the eyes of universities around the world. As was the case with Collaborative Research 2018 conducted by Faculty of Electrical Engineering (FTE) Telkom University on Monday (2/7) with Hanbat University Korea.
Director of Innovation Center of Hanbat National University Prof. Chong Geun Lee revealed that this was a good opportunity for the team and students to study at Telkom University. “This collaboration will focus on making the Internet of Things (IoT), we hope to make useful products and other relevant things together,” he said when giving a speech.
This cooperation program has been written in the strategic plan of FTE, in addition to Collaborative Research FTE also has global academic programs like Summer School which will be held at the end of July 2018. “We will certainly invite colleagues present here to join the program.” Said Dean of FTE Dr. Bambang Setia Nugroho, S.T., M.T.
The Collaborative Research was conducted in Gambung, Ciwidey, Bandung. On an area of 600 hectares, Telkom University and Hanbat made tea plant centers using IoT. They helped to classify 11 types of tea plants, monitor ready-to-plant tea, and conducted geographical aerials using drones. About 14 Hanbat students, accompanied by professors stayed in Bandung for 1 week (July 2-7).
