Telkom University Ready to Generate Digital Talent for Indonesia

BANDUNG, Telkom University – Head of the Research and Development Agency for Human Resources of the Ministry of Communication and Information of the Republic of Indonesia (Kemenkominfo) Hary Budiarto, visited Telkom University, Friday (19/2).

The visit was started by observing Telkom University facilities, the Telecom Infra Project (TIP) Laboratory. This laboratory was inaugurated by the Minister of Communication and Information, Johnny G. Plate last year.

Hary said that there are 2 programs to be delivered to Telkom University. First is the Digital Talent Scholarship, which is following the direction of the President of the Republic of Indonesia Joko Widodo, Indonesia to help accelerate the digital economy requires at least 9 million digital talents in the year 2035.

“We come here to collaborate with Telkom University to realize the president’s direction. To achieve it all, at least every year there must be 100 thousand digital talents are ready. Therefore, it is hoped that Telkom University will be able to generate digital talent in the future. front.” He explained.

And on the second goal, Hary added that he wanted to increase collaboration in the field of research with Telkom University, especially in the field of Open RAN (Radio Access Network) telecommunications, which is a radio access device technology that adopts the interface concept.

“We previously spoke to a lecturer at Telkom University, Mr. Khoirul Anwar, that he wanted to do joint research, especially for the Open RAN, where this collaboration is aimed at jointly advancing the world of telecommunications in Indonesia.” He explained.

The Ministry of Communication and Informatics delegation was welcomed by the Rector of Telkom University, Prof. Adiwijaya, in his speech Prof. Adiwijaya expressed his gratitude for the visit made by the Ministry of Communication and Information.

“Our goal (Telkom University) is to contribute to the nation. One of them is to create an outstanding generation for Indonesia. In line with the existing program at Kominfo, we also have a program to generate digital talents for Indonesia. We collaborate with Telkom Indonesia through the Telkom Digital Talent Incubator program, and we are ready to generate the digital talent for Indonesia. ” He said.
