Synergizing Industry: Telkom University Enggage with PT. Telkom to Provide Scholarships

Bandung, Telkom University – In applying commitment to build Indonesia from education, PT. Telkom Indonesia enggage with Telkom University create the potential future generation through the provision of progressive scholarships. Besides Telkom University, there are at least 10 Universities in Indonesia which also participated and committed. The signing was witnessed by Director of Human Capital Management (HCM) Telkom Indonesia Herdy Harman on Friday (02.17.17) in Bandung.

Commitment industrial synergies between Telkom Indonesia and universities in Indonesia included two aspects.

First, PT. Telkom and the chosen University agree for improving the competencies in each university, and then make recommendations to the PT. Telkom for the best graduands.
Second, PT. Telkom is committed to provide scholarships through the Telkom Great Student Program scholarship (GSTS) for the best graduands from each chosen universities. Then the best graduand will follow the Great People Trainee Program (GPTP).

In his speech, Herdy Harman stated the commitment of PT.Telkom Indonesia to actualize competitive resource development, adaptative to the competitive era.”We are all obliged to rebuild the country, the University is forging a resource that is ready to collaborate with the global world, and Telkom Indonesia is ready to support the real through this program (scholarship)” he said.

In response, the Vice Rector for Admissions and Internasioanal Cooperation AMA Suyanto welcomed, Telkom University keen to build partnerships with industry, and to encourage other universities to continue to seek for solutions on building the nation’s resource development potential.

“It should be a good tradition, Telkom University constantly invite partners from industry to work together, so that education and industry can stands in line, not become the two world’s different” he concluded.

Industry-university synergy conducted by PT Telkom was once again answering the ideals of Golden Indonesia 2045. Where the superior resources will become the of the progress and the growth of the nation.

Besides Telkom University, 10 universities in Indonesia which participated signed this agreement are: the University of Gadjah Mada, University of Indonesia, Bogor Institute of Agriculture, University of Diponegoro, Universitas Brawijaya, Airlangga University, Institute of Ten November, Hasanuddin University, and Bandung Institute of Technology .
