Tel-U Students Proficient in Managing Organizations After Participating in LKMM 2022

Telkom University held an activity entitled Management Skills Training (LKMM) 2022, held from 9-11 February 2022. This activity is one of Telkom University’s Directorate of Student Affairs programs to provide provisions for students, especially in terms of managing student organizations (ORMAWA).

The Director of Student Affairs stated at Telkom University that all Tel-U students usually attend Desy Dwi Nurhandayani, S.T., M.M. According to him, LKMM. However, this year, it is only attended by administrators of student organizations and is held online.

“In the future, LKMM will become a routine activity that is carried out every year to provide training to all students in university activities (Tel-U). We hope that students who have the opportunity to attend this activity can share the benefits with other friends.” Said Mrs. Desy.

The theme of this year’s LKMM is Building an Outstanding and Competitive Tel-U Student Organization. This activity lasted for three days, during which time the students were given various materials ranging from critical thinking, learning to manage organizations, and preparing suitable protocols.

The Vice-Rector opened this year’s LKMM activity for Admissions, Student Affairs, and Alumni Tel-U, Dr. Dida Diah Damajanti. He hopes that this activity can provide a new skill set for students in managing organizations on campus. “The purpose of this activity is so that for the next one year, friends can carry out organizational activities that are not only output-oriented but outcome-oriented. So that the benefits can be wider and long-term,” said Mrs. Dida.

Specifically, there are at least five materials that students will study at this LKMM, namely: Policy and Management of Student Organizations; Organizational Leadership and Management; Design Thinking & Design Sprint; Proposals & Sponsorships; and Organizational Administration.

Students take a pretest before the activity and a post-test at the end of the activity. Participants are also required to be active during the activity because an award is given to the best LKMM participant at the event.
