Florence – Telkom University, Telkom University Choir (Tel-U Choir) once again made the names of Telkom University and Indonesia proud after being named Grand Prix Champion by winning ten awards and three gold medals at the international competition event “2nd Botticelli International Choral Festival” in Florence, Italy hosted by Florence Choral. The competition will be held from 9 to 12 October 2022.
As the only representative from Asia, the Tel-U Choir looked stunning with magnificent costumes and beautiful dances that carried Indonesian cultural identity in front of 4 judges: Leonardo Sagliocca, Giulia Boschi, Andrea Portera, and Davide Siega.
Benedict Rafael, the head of the departure team, said this would not have been possible without various parties’ hard work, sacrifices, and support. He is very grateful and proud of the Tel-U Choir’s achievements.

In addition to competing at the 2nd Botticelli International Choral Festival, the Tel-U Choir also had the opportunity to join concerts in several places in Florence, such as Chiesa di Santa Monaca, Chiesa di Ognissanti, Basilica della Santissima Annunziata and Basilica di Santa Trinita starting from 9-12 October 2022.
