Understanding Digital Marketing Metrics and Evaluation on PPDB Educational Institutions

New Student Admission (PPDB) an educational institution is an important matter and a shared responsibility so that its implementation is in accordance with the targets to be achieved. To support this, Telkom University lecturers continue their assistance to staff and teaching staff at the Telkom Bandung Tourism Vocational School. Mentoring is carried out online on Thursday (17/02).

The event was opened by Agus Pratondo and Martha Tri Lestari as activity coordinators and was warmly welcomed by the Principal of SMK Pariwisasata Telkom Bandung, Kadhafiah Hilmi or who is often called Mrs. Oka.

PPDB activities at educational institutions become an obstacle during the pandemic period, all marketing activities are carried out in a limited manner. Therefore, the Telkom University Lecturer team collaborated with three faculties, namely the Faculty of Business Communication, the Faculty of Business Economics, and the Faculty of Applied Sciences again to provide assistance to PPDB which is currently in its seventh week.

The main topic raised in the seventh week of mentoring is how to understand digital marketing and evaluation metrics. The material was delivered directly by the expert, Entik Insanudin ST, MT who is a lecturer at the Faculty of Applied Sciences at Telkom University.

In this session, Entik explained the material which was wrapped with practical activities and online simulations about the tools that can be used in conducting digital metrics and evaluation in the use of online media in the school.

Entik said that in digital marketing activities, of course, many applications have been used to market products, but that alone is not enough, we need to learn more about digital marketing metrics.

“With digital marketing metrics we will be able to determine the appropriate analysis to improve marketing both in the form of websites and social media,” said Entik (2/17).

The presentation which lasted for three hours ended with a question and answer session presented by the participants who were very enthusiastic in the discussion session. The three most enthusiastic participants were selected, namely Mr. Asep, Mr. Rahmat and Mr. Wawan who were very active in submitting their questions and were then immediately given feedback by the experts.
