UTHM Rector: Lecturer Should Supported by staff with Equal Number

BANDUNG, TEL-U – Indonesia lecturer at many universities do not have sufficient support staff to support the academic activities. So that lecturers must do many things outside their duties.

It was delivered by Rector of Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia (UTHM), Professor Datuk Dr. Mohd Noh Dalimin during a visit to Telkom University (Tel-U) on Monday (15/6). The visit which held in 5th floor Meeting Room Bangkit Building Tel-U had aims to share knowledge on the management of higher education conducted by UTHM.

“Lecturers in universities should be supported with academic support staff with equal amount. So that lecturers can be more focused on its main task, for example in the preparation of the study, “he said.

This event is also to respond to visit by Tel-U to UTHM on last 3rd June. In addition to strengthen relations between the two sides, this visit was also to open up the widest possible cooperation between Tel-U with UTHM.

This visit had a good response from the Vice Rector for Tel-U, Dr. Heroe Wijanto, MT. According to him, this visit showed a high desire of UTHM to cooperate with Tel-U. “Our desire is also to collaborate to produce things that are beneficial to both campuses, and of course also for both countries,” he said.
